Baja Gold is the sea salt underfoot: harvested from the Sea of Cortez, used as the cave floor instead of Himalayan rock salt. The spa describes on the order of 2,500–3,000 pounds. Guests rake it, make salt angels in it, and walk it barefoot if their feet are clean.
It is also used in the magnesium sea-salt mineral foot soak on packages that include that modality. The air you breathe in the cave is a different salt: pharmaceutical-grade sodium chloride from the halogenerator, 1–5 microns.
The floor is not what you are inhaling as a measured dose. The floor is the tactile, mineral, seashore analog. The generator is the dry aerosol. Both are part of why this room does not look like a pink brick franchise.
