Answer
Most man-made salt rooms in this country follow a pink-brick template: Himalayan salt stacked on the walls, pink light, a shared schedule. This cave was built on a different set of questions.
There is zero Himalayan salt. The floor is Baja Gold sea salt from the Sea of Cortez — on the order of 2,500–3,000 pounds — which you can rake and make angels in. What you breathe is pharmaceutical-grade sodium chloride, ground to a fine 1–5 micron dry aerosol, not decorative brick dust. Walls and ceiling are non-toxic cornstarch beads for sound absorption, not salt tile. A band of sandstone and basalt steadies humidity and temperature and nods to Gorge rock.
The booking is private: one party, by appointment. Daniel built it by hand for Angelina; she has dedicated the sanctuary to their son Chris. Guests come for a three-act journey, not a 45-minute chair in a public pink room.
That is the difference. Different materials, different air, different privacy — not a louder marketing claim.
