A salt angel is this spa’s playful analog to a snow angel: you lie in the Baja Gold sea salt on the floor and move your arms to leave wings. Guests rake, meditate, and make that shape before they recline for a salty nap.
The floor is on the order of 2,500–3,000 pounds of Sea of Cortez sea salt — not Himalayan brick. Bare feet and a zen rake are part of the sensory invitation. Photos on the site show couples, besties, twins, and wedding parties making wings. A 7-foot cherub wing in the room is a different object — art on the wall — not the angel you make yourself.
You do not have to make one. You can rake a small garden, inscribe a name, or simply sit. The invitation is touch, not a performance. If someone in your party cannot get down on the floor, they can still rest in a chair; ask Angelina how she wants to stage that.
