Who built this cave?

Who built this cave?

Answer

Daniel built it. The homepage calls the downtown sanctuary a labor of love hand-built by a husband (Daniel) for his wife (Angelina). The bead walls are his: hundreds of hours, nicknamed a million touches, an accidental world-record bead installation by one person in about 600 hours.

He chose materials that do jobs: Baja Gold on the floor, pharmaceutical-grade salt in the air, cornstarch beads for quiet, sandstone and basalt for the microclimate and for Gorge rock. Angelina tends the room and hosts the journeys. The cave is dedicated to their son Chris.

Guests who want the builder’s tour of “why this, not pink brick” can ask. Daniel is not promised as the session host. Text 541-340-4606. This is a house made by hand, not a contractor credit.
