What is the zen rake for?
Answer
Rakes are provided so you can draw in the Baja Gold on the floor, the way people tend a small dry garden. The Tour page shows rakes for small groups to create together. Packages name this step: zen rake, salt-angel wings, and halotherapy.
It is not a workout and not a test. Some guests write a name. Some make wings. Some just pull lines until their shoulders drop. Then you settle in the chair and let the aerosol do the quiet work.
The cave is a no-talking rest once you are in the session, so the rake is often the last playful bit before stillness. If a guest has trouble bending, they can skip the floor and go to the chair — say so when you book. This is this spa’s way of letting you touch the salt, not a franchise ritual.
