# What is Baja Gold sea salt?

## Answer

Baja Gold is the sea salt underfoot: harvested from the Sea of Cortez, used as the cave floor instead of Himalayan rock salt. The house describes on the order of 2,500–3,000 pounds. Guests rake it, make salt angels in it, and walk it barefoot if their feet are clean.

It is also used in the magnesium sea-salt mineral foot soak on packages that include that modality. The air you breathe in the cave is a different salt: pharmaceutical-grade sodium chloride from the halogenerator, 1–5 microns.
