# Why is there no Himalayan salt?

## Answer

There is zero Himalayan salt in this cave — not on the floor, not in the generator, not as a pink wall.

Independent lab testing of popular unrefined salts, including Himalayan, has found trace heavy metals such as lead and cadmium in a dietary context. A salt cave is not a dinner plate. You breathe the air, session after session. Dedicated inhalation-safety research on Himalayan salt is thin. Given that gap, this house does not grind Himalayan brick into the air you breathe.

The floor is Sea of Cortez Baja Gold. The aerosol is pharmaceutical-grade sodium chloride made for medical and inhalation use, in the 1–5 micron range. That is a materials choice, not a slam at every pink room in America.
